After five
and a half years work on top of the fifteen years compiling
tune lists, I
am pleased to announce that the book The Disc Musical Box
is now ready.
This
496 page book plus DVD is to celebrate 50 years of The Musical Box
Society
of Great Britain M.B.S.G.B. and is a hardback A4 book, size of
12 inches by
8-1/2 inches, printed in _full_ colour throughout on gloss
paper.
Book

1. A brief description and an overview of their history
2. Descriptions of the instruments - history and models are described.

Table of models - over 1,600 found.
4. Serial numbers - of over 1,500 surviving
instruments - can you add more ?
5. Tuning Scales - over 170 of those most

7. Tune lists
- four lists in the book, the rest will be on MBSGB web site.

and cabinet pictures - over 400 different.

There
are over 1,700 illustrations in the book.

The Publications Working Group of the Musical
Box Society of Great Britain is pleased to announce the
publication of two
new booksin the form of Supplements to two of its earlier publications,
"The
Organette Book" and "The Disc Musical Box".
Both Supplements
have been compiled by Kevin McElhone, the author of the original books;
each
presents the additionalinformation and material on Organettes and Disc Musical
Boxes that
has come to light since the original books closed for press
in 2002 and 2012 respectively.
Each Supplement is hard back, in ISO A4
format [8.27" 11.70"], 100 pages in length and profusely
illustrated
in colour throughout.
